"My husband and I visited Puerto Rico for the first time and figured the best way to experience the island was staying with a local. We had an amazing experience! Paul was so inviting and hospitable. He even cooked us Paleo muffins the first day and welcomed us the night before with a lovely cocktail. We had to leave our dog at home, so it was nice to spend time with Puggy, Paul's pug. She was super fun to play with! The air conditioner, bug spray, soap, and lint roller was a nice touch.

We stayed a few nights in San Juan and then went to Culebra for a few nights (you must go, Flamenco Beach is #2 in the world!) and came back to stay our last night in San Juan. I had been looking for a special type of cookie, and while we were gone, Paul searched PR for it and had them waiting for us when we got back. He had also got another blanket for us, because he knew I don't share well. =)) His knowledge of San Juan is good for not living there for very long.

I would recommend anyone wanting the real, laid back experience of Puerto Rico to stay with Paul. The apartment is only a couple miles from the airport and the beach. Paul's apartment is very safe behind a locked gate. He also has a a garage, behind a locked gate, for a car if you rent one (which I recommend).

I can say, that in all our years, our Puerto Rico vacation was the best one we've taken. We will definitely be back!"
